Babao Cha originated from the Silk Road, created in Tang Dynasty and flourished in Ming&Qing Dynasties.Ningxia, as an important post station of the ancient Silk Road, is also well-known as the “Pearl” of the Silk Road. Merchants who come and go for the business boiled various flavors with local dried fruits, tea and other specialties to relieve fatigue and hardship during their trip. Later, it evolved into a festive necessary drink for local people in their practical life.
