Pu-erh is kind of fermented tea which created through a ripening process spanning several months with a controlled method where the moisture and temperature of the tea are carefully monitored. It is sold as compressed tea of various shapes, including bricks, squares or cakes. Pu-erh tea can be aged for many years to improve their flavor depending on the type of the tea. Ripened Pu-erh tea can be aged up to 10-15 years, while raw Pu-erh can be aged up to 50 years without diminishing the quality.
